Thanks to all my players for turning up today. The forecast wasn’t great and your loyalty is really appreciated. It was a real test of endurance for today’s Maxitours players.

High winds and scattered showers made for tough conditions so all credit to those teams who managed to complete all 18 holes. “That is as tough as it gets” was a most common phrase used today as players returned to the sanctuary of the warm clubhouse for a well earned hot drink. Never have so many hot chocolates been drunk post round !!!!
Congratulations to the local Tytherington team on a terrific 83 points- they breed them tough in Macclesfield.
Carl Marginson and his Davyhulme team were second after an excellent back nine.
