MAXITOURS AT “MARVELOUS” MOTTRAM 15th JANUARY

Many thanks to Mottram Hall for hosting my event today after a last minute switch from Vale Royal Abbey and to my good friend PGA Professional Matt Turnock from Mottram for running today’s event.
The weather was amazing, sunny and bright with barely a breath of wind which made for pleasant playing conditions.
Mottram’s greenkeeping staff did a tremendous job of presenting the course in super condition and the Clubhouse staff did a wonderful job with the provision of food and drink prior to and following play.
Scoring was extremely tight with the top three teams tied on 85 points with Gary Owen’s team just coming out on top after a card count back from Jim Caldwell’s and George Kerr’s teams.
Lots of positive comments with regards the golf course considering two days earlier it was still under a foot of snow !!!!

Dear Maxitours players,

Unfortunately Vale Royal would be on temporary greens on Wednesday so I have eventually managed to move the event to Mottram Hall.
I have availability for 80 players.

Can you please let me know if you don’t wish to play.
The greens are in excellent condition.

Tee Times will be two tee start 10am -12.15pm

I am busy for the next few hours so will send out the start sheet at 6pm

As I am sure you are aware there is plenty of snow on golf courses at the moment.

I am trying to contact someone at Mottram Hall but had no success this morning. The event hasn’t yet been cancelled but I think it is very unlikely to be going ahead!
