Maxitours at Crewe Golf Club
What a day!
Crewe golf club was in brilliant condition for todays Maxitours event.
The greenkeepers did us proud with a very dry golf course despite recent storms and there were also superbly fast and true putting surfaces for our players.
The catering is top notch and the ladies who work behind the bar are great fun. Thanks to Claire and her team.
Layers were being stripped off throughout the day as the clear blue skies and sun provided some very welcome warmth.
Thanks to all players for using mats and looking after the course so well, everyone at Crewe were incredibly positive about our course management and etiquette.
In todays event scoring was tight. Andy Tayors Withington team scored an impressive 87 points to take 5th. Nigel Ashton and Tony O’Gara’s team shared 3rd place with 88 points.
Dave Griffiths Cheadle team were on fire and a real team effort saw them record 91 points but they were just pipped by Dave More’O’Ferralls team who had 49 points on their closing 9 holes to win the card play off. Paul Calnan, Chris Jackson and Mal Kendrick completed the team.
