Dear Maxitours players,

My good friend and PGA Professional Tim Rastall sadly passed away this morning.

A lot of you will know Tim from when I worked with him when he was head professional at Prestbury and Mottram Hall for over twenty years. He recently enjoyed working at Bramhall golf club.

He taught me everything I know about golf and had a huge influence my golf career and personality.

He also got me my wifes telephone number when we first met in an Alderley Edge nightclub. He was a very fine golfer who taught me the massive importance of honesty and integrity on the course.

Tim played in the Open, and played on the European tour for a few years in the late 70’s occasionally sharing a caravan with Ian Woosnam. He qualified for the senior tour twice and played in the PGA Cup team.

Out of respect I am releasing the schedule first thing tomorrow morning.
Rest in peace Rasty. Thanks for everything.
