I have just spoken to the Prestbury Course Manager Mark Crossley. The golf course is now fully Open and he is very optimistic about tomorrows event going ahead.

There may be a little sleet overnight but from mid morning onwards the forecast looks good.

My website will be updated at 9am tomorrow but clean your clubs -things are looking up!

I still have some availability due to rescheduled Winter events. Cheshire’s golf courses have all dried up exceptionally well after two weeks of frozen and dry ground conditions.

Many thanks to Wilmslow golf Club todays event is going ahead however Winter wheels are required on electric trolleys.

There are 5 or maximum 6 temporary greens in play

Dear Maxitours player,

Due to heavy rain overnight which was not forecasted I am currently waiting on an update from the Wilmslow greenkeeper. There will be a mixture of temp and proper greens today.

Hedgehog wheels are required on electric trolleys and can people carry if at all possible.
I will let people know how many greens are in play as soon as I know- 10 mins hopefully!

Unfortunately the ice and snow has not thawed overnight as expected and there are several areas of sheet ice at Sandiway

Brian has done his best but he has just sent me a photo and a few greens are definitely unplayable.

My other substitute venues are also iced over.

Unfortunately today’s event is therefore cancelled
