Dear Maxitours player,
I really hope you have all stayed safe and well and have coped with life without golf.
Things are looking as though we are getting back to some normality at long last and we can all meet up, play safely and enjoy each others company on some great golf courses.
Since the lockdown a couple of events have been added/shuffled/dates changed so please check your diaries and make any necessary alterations. (Changes have been highlighted below)
Next years Portugal trip details will also be released this week. Despite industry price rises Julie from Holidays for golfers has managed to negotiate the same incredible package for our Maxitours players at no extra cost from 2020. I always look forward to spending this week in Portugal with my players as we have such a lovely group. It is always a great trip.
Spaces will be limited and demand will be high. Please phone Julie at Holidays4Golfers 0161 428 0963 or myself to reserve you place.

Dear Maxitours players,
Another lockdown!
Brilliant.
Of course all my events are on hold until further notice – I will update you as soon as regulations change.
I hope and trust this will be the last lockdown. As we all get the vaccine and the weather warms up I feel confident we will be nearing normality by the Summer.
It will be a great day when we can all finally shake hands after a game of golf with our pals ! In the meantime let’s all stay safe for the last leg of this journey.
Many thanks for all the entries for next summer – a few of my events are already full.
I will update my website in the next few days showing entries.
Yours in golf and friendship,
Tim

Terrific Summer Schedule released next week!
Maxitours at The Mere
The Mere staff gave us a very warm welcome to Maxitours players today. This is a wonderful venue and everyone enjoyed themselves.
The course was incredibly dry considering yesterday’s drenching and it was great to see the ball rolling on the firm fairways.
Sam Leach was back playing with his usual very unsuccessful team. ‘I thought I would be able to shake them off during lockdown but they are all back’ He complained. He wasn’t surprised to finish 25th.
Scoring from most teams was excellent on the shortened course and Wilmslows’ Jim Caldwell(13) took the early lead playing alongside James Cash (1) Steve Barlow (6) and Bob Pickthall(18). They had 87 super points.
Earning their first win for over two years was Lee Tilleys’ (9) Saddleworth team. Dave Sarsfield (22) and Dave Rhodes(24) both had four point hauls and Ex Wigan Rugby league Chairman Norbury(24) also chipped in when required. Well played chaps great golf.
Many thanks for your amazing support this year I hope you all have a very safe Christmas and manage to spend some quality time with your family and friends.
Yours in golf and friendship.
Tim
